On the other hand, the other Valentine was believed to have fallen in love with his jailer’s daughter who visited him while he was imprisoned. Before he was executed, he sent a letter to her signed ‘’from your valentine’’ an expression that is still used to date. Both of these actions led to the Martyrs being executed on 14th February.
